ORDER YOUR GRAPHIC DESIGN FILES NOW
If you ordered a patch, all graphic design work will be done for free and automatically. After you order and receive your patches, you should have had an insert included with your order instructing you to go to this page to order the full size and raw design files that were created to make your order. I spend hours making design changes as I setup orders every day. Sometimes I will spend 1 hour or longer on a single design where I am only receiving $7 for patch. I do it anyways to make it easy and fast to order.
First, I assume some people will come back and re order the patch, using the design again. Second, I now have the option for you to order the design files (if you like them) to support my work. Unique and original elements of your design remain your copyrighted property. However, if we placed any of our unique elements into your order (such as a skull) it maybe have been used in previous orders and may be used again in future orders, and do not belong to you exclusively. You don't need to pay us to keep the rights of your design. You are only paying us for the work we did improving it.
Every patch is designed differently, based on what will be most cost effective and best looking. Most designs simply have their resolution and size increased. These changes have the smallest fees. Some raster designs can't be made in Illustrator but will be re-hand drawn in Photoshop with a tablet. These are usually broken up into layers to make editing them easier. Other designs are cleaned up in Photoshop and also edited in Illustrator. For example, the text might be replaced in illustrator, while the image in the patch has it's resolution increased. Finally, some designs are completely remade in Illustrator as vectors, which can be extremely time consuming.
These “vector” designs are more time-consuming to make but are also better than standard “raster” images. This is because they can be scaled to any size, they are easy to edit (text is usually editable), and they are required when ordering many different products. Often having a vector file is necessary to order custom shirts, decals, etc. We have the lowest design fees, so getting your design from us for future use is the most cost-effective way to acquire them.
If you order a Photoshop file, you will also receive the high resolution .JPG or .PNG. You can have the Photoshop file (.PSD) saved in case you want a different designer to use it, but also have the simple .jpg to use for yourself if you don't know how to use Photoshop. If you order the vector version of the design, you will also receive the High Resolution .JPG and the .PSD file if it is available.
Further design changes can be made with no or small additional fees if you email Design@MutinyShop.com.
