Is your design ready to be made into patches?
Any file type can be made into a patch. You do not need to have the file converted or digitized. If you have a good quality jepeg you can order patches right now, instantly online. However, patches will be made identical to the image you upload. If you want that image changed any way, request we do it for free, by following the following instructions.
SIMPLE GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICES FOR PATCHES
DO NOT REQUEST AT THE SAME TIME AS PATCHES!!! Graphic design must be completed before ordering patches. Please request graphic design and wait until the artwork is finalized before ordering patches. We will email you the design, this is the design you must upload to order patches.
WE NOW ONLY COMPLETE SIMPLE DESIGN CHANGES.
We will make simple design changes (see examples in the below list) for free. Such as changing colors or text. We no longer make complicated changes or complete concept work (making work from scratch, a description or sketches). Please take more complicated work to a graphic design company, as we are not a graphic design service.
Simple changes we will complete for free:
- Adding custom text in a custom font (font must be free to download).
- Removing unwanted text.
- Changing colors to anything you want.
- Changing colors to subdued (generally green subdued, tan subdued, or grey subdued).
- Changing or adjusting the shape of a patch.
- Adding or adjusting the border (changing thickness, color or shape).
- Changing the background to a camo pattern.
- Adding back in parts of design that were accidentally removed in a crop.
- Adding two or more images together in some way to complete a patch design.
Changes we will not complete:
- Creating any design from scratch or from an idea (we do not create concept designs, we are not purely a design company).
- Cleaning up rough sketches or poorly taken pictures of designs (we will, however, clean up very simple designs or designs just containing text).
- Any sort of vague concept. Such as "Can you just make this look cooler or better?"
- Recreation of a physical patch (ie: a photo of an embroidered patch).
HOW TO REQUEST DESIGN CHANGES
Email us at design@mutinyshop.com. Please remember to:
- Attach the design(s) to your email. (If you don't have any images or designs yet, use a graphic design company, not us.)
- Tell us specifically and exactly how you want your patch design to look. (We do not complete concept changes. "Just make it look better" doesn't work, and we won't extensively clean up a complex design that is poor quality.)
- Include the title of any fonts used in the design or any you want used in the design.
OUR PROMISE
Intellectual rights are important to us. We will never reuse or resell your design to another team or individual. Please give us permission to photograph your design and show it off to visitors of our website. That is all the photo will be used for. But we understand and respect if you don't want us to photograph it.

Specialty materials can be used in your patch order for an added awesome and unique effect.
Commonly used materials include: Carbon Fiber (replica IR), Silver & Gold, and Reflective. These materials react to light like their real world counterparts and have a 2D texture. We also have Glow in The Dark which is white under normal lighting but glows green in darkness.
Custom artwork/logo patches can sometimes be made with specialty materials if you meet certain conditions. The artwork must be solid colors and shapes, with limited intricate detail. The detail must be broad and solid. Text is more limited by font type and size. You are also limited to no more then 3 colors, while 2 is optimal and additional colors do cost extra. Specialty materials should be used with "logo" type artwork, while drawings and colorful work are nearly impossible to use the material.
To order specialty material patches you must email us for approval first. If it looks possible to do with your artwork, we will work with you to setup your artwork for production. This setup might cost extra depending on if you have vector files or not. Otherwise we will refer you to order standard vinyl patches. Standard vinyl patches have unlimited color and detail capabilities, as well as no file requirement. While specialty vinyl patches are much more limited and require vector (illustrator) art.
